I am afraid that whiskers on kittens and girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes leave me quite cold... but there are other things in life that I love.

I love being a Christian. I love the fact that in this world where nothing is certain, there is hope, there is deep joy in being loved by the Creator. I love the fact that the Christian faith isn't just a spiritual experience, but is a challenge to bring God's justice (as taught to us by Jesus Christ) into the world. As part of my Christian life, I especially joining regularly in worship of God: here are Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer and Night Prayer services for today.

I love my wife, and my friends and family.

I love English music: especially the works of Edward Elgar, William Walton and Ralph Vaughan-Williams. Their music seems to speak to me really deeply.

Another source is deep spirituality for me is listening to The Psalms of David, set to chant music, as in these recordings.

I loved my car (is that wrong?) ... the most beautiful model ever built: the Jaguar XJC. She was just beautiful!

Here are links to a few of my jaunts with the XJC register of the Jaguar Drivers' Club
